Description

Used Complete Returnable Glass Bottling Line for CSD - Overview

This used complete returnable glass bottling line is engineered for carbonated soft drinks and premium beverage applications. Designed and integrated by BBM Service with proven components from leading manufacturers, it delivers fast changeovers, high reliability, and precise carbonation control across multiple formats. The line handles glass bottles from 0.1L to 1.0L with top performance up to 25,000 bottles per hour on small formats and 11,000 bottles per hour on larger sizes, making it ideal for beverage production environments that need flexibility and consistent product quality.

The scope combines crate handling, isobaric filling, multi-station labeling, shrink-wrapping, cluster packing, and end-of-line palletizing. Core modules include a Berchi depalletizer, a Corfill filling monoblock, a Krones Starmatic labeling machine configured for three labels, SMI packaging systems for shrink and cluster packs, and ACMI palletizing and pallet wrapping. Siemens PLC controls on key units support stable operation and straightforward integration into a modern industrial packaging line.

Advanced Automation & Control Systems

The line leverages modern automation with Siemens PLC on the filling monoblock and premix. Tool-less quick-change parts (stars, screws, centering devices) enable rapid format changeover. Operator interfaces are designed for intuitive parameter setting and repeatable recipes for different bottle sizes and products. Comprehensive guarding and interlocks support safe operation, while distributed control ensures stable speed synchronization across the bottling equipment.

Production Line Integration Capabilities

Engineered for seamless inline operation, this used bottling line integrates crate logistics (decrating and crating), isobaric filling and capping within the monoblock, labeling for multiple decorations, and both standard and premium secondary packaging. It interfaces cleanly with upstream and downstream conveyors and can adapt to multi-product workflows. Format change flexibility covers 0.1L to 1.0L glass bottles, supporting beverage production scenarios from mass-market CSD to specialty runs such as craft beer.

Machine Condition & Maintenance History

The Corfill monoblock and premix were revamped by BBM Service in 2018 and equipped with Siemens PLC controls. The line is offered as is and is available for immediate project integration subject to final engineering and layout confirmation. Components come from reputable manufacturers and have been selected for compatibility and performance within a complete used bottling line.

Operational Performance & Versatility

Isobaric filling ensures accurate CO2 retention and consistent beverage quality, while the three-label configuration supports premium branding with label, back-label, and additional decorations. Secondary packaging covers both shrink bundles for standard distribution and cluster packs for premium and promotional presentations. The line’s crate handling enables returnable glass operations, and the end-of-line palletizer and wrapper manage Euro and industrial pallet patterns.

Installation Requirements & Site Preparation

The system is designed for installation within a standard beverage production facility with appropriate utilities and conveyor interconnections. Power supply, compressed air, and CO2 for carbonated beverage processing are required. Space planning should accommodate depalletizing, crate handling, monoblock operations, labeling, packaging, and palletizing zones. Bottle washer equipment is not included in this scope.

Safety Standards & Compliance Certification

The line includes safety guarding, emergency stop circuits, and interlocked access points typical of industrial packaging machinery. Operator safety features and clear hazard signage are present on major modules. Hygienic design principles on the filling area support beverage-grade operations, with stainless-steel contact parts common to isobaric filling systems.
